Work Hours: MUST BE ABLE TO WORK EVERY Monday - Friday between 12:00PM - 7:00PM (6 hours max). Commit to a 1 year program by being punctual every day and adhere to compliance requirements for After School.
Reports to: Program Coordinator
Supervises Others: Program Leaders
Serves as the Site Director in charge of all aspects of a single school site to ensure that the program provides a safe, clean, organized, nurturing and positive environment and is managed in compliance with ICES Education policies and procedures, including safe work practices. Supervises all staff assigned to the site and sets the highest professional example for employees. Liaises with parents, vendors, school faculty and district personnel to display the site and the program positively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To the Company:
  • Attendance Reporting: monitor student safety by recording student/volunteer sign-in/sign-out sheets
  • Comply with organization, site policies and program procedures ensuring compliance with any and all relevant grant regulations
  • Participate in scheduled management meetings and trainings
  • Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in staff, student and volunteer matters
To the Program:
  • Nurtures and builds strong relationships with Program Leaders to develop good communication for accountability and long-term commitment and retention
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate with school administrators, Program Leaders and parents, private sector officials and community leaders on a regular basis regarding program activities
  • Works with partners (where applicable) to apply programs to the host school
Implements:
  • Safety Plan for the designated school site
  • Human Resource policies and procedures
  • Additional plans or management requirements related to the host school
Manages:
  • Program Leaders: enforce all ICES/Districts policies regarding dress code, behavior and structure
  • Program: daily activities, enrichment programs, tutoring/homework and field trips under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator
  • Site Budget: Supplies - keeping within budget limits along with number of students in mind
  • Staff - maintain staff-child ratios and staffing costs by scheduling staff accordingly
  • Records: recording, updating and producing reports as required for Attendance and Snack Rosters
  • Fee-based programs (where applicable): collect program payments and deliver status reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bilingual a must (Spanish speaking)
  • Excellent organizational and management skills. Service minded and willing to go the extra mile. Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited college or university. Ideal focus: education, social or human services, child development, social work, recreation or related field
  • At least two years in a management, supervisory or leadership position is preferred. Previous classroom experience is required.
  • Must pass TB test.
  • Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting)
COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS
  • Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Operate standard office equipment
  • Read, reply and write proper emails
  • Open PDF documents, print and navigate internet browsers
